      <title>2010 Porsche Cayman</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/porsche/cayman/2010/listing/236849</link>
      <description>2010 Porsche Cayman 987.2 Coupe

For consignment, a 2010 Porsche Cayman 987.2 coupe with a title verified 57,665 actual miles. This second generation Cayman benefits from things such as direct injection, LED lights, improved interior features and an overall facelift.

  Exterior
Feasting our eyes on the profile of the car, it's clear that this car would slip through the wind with very little resistance while its shark like intake ducts on the side scoop in what they need for the engine. The Black paint shines with very few incursions and all the gloss of late model two stages. Up front, the gaping mouth gives way to straked grilles and headlights that are both set back and flush with the fenders. If you're a molecule of air flowing over the car, you'll ride the raked windshield, over the top, and follow the gentle slope down until a modest spoiler sends you on your way. Flush tail lights add color to the black palette and a single, center exit exhaust tip falls between the integrated diffusers. 18-inch wheels carry staggered tires with an early 2020 date code. A scratched ding on the hood is the only exterior imperfection we find.

  Interior
The quality is evident as you swing the door open to reveal Sand Beige leather door panels, smartly designed with contoured actuators and carpeted lowers and integrated, almost invisible speakers. The leather adorns the bucket seats with the driver's side showing a wisp of usage but otherwise spotless, while the monochromatic tan interior continues on the steering wheel with contrasting nickel colored spokes and Stuttgart's finest coat of arms. Black faced gauges fit in a contoured cover and the center stack has a screen displaying the functions of the AM/FM/Multi-CD player followed by push button climate controls and a storage cubby. In the center console is the coveted shifter and of the 1,300 Cayman's sold in the U.S., only a fraction of them were manuals as globally, only 779 base Caymans received the joystick. The leather boot matches the surrounding plastic and the plush, quality carpet below. This same carpet cleanly lines the storage area under the hatch and the hatch itself has a handsome coverage of materials.

  Drivetrain
The mid-mounted engine is a 2.9 liter flat 6 cylinder pumping out 265 horsepower and is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear axle and 3.875 gears.

  Undercarriage
With all of the components towards the back, the front is occupied by aerodynamic belly pans and all present cleanly. The dual exhaust travels through original mufflers and then comes together to exit through a single pipe. Four wheel power disc brakes are on board and MacPherson struts make up the suspension front and rear.

  Drive-Ability
We know there's another German manufacturer who coined the adage "the ultimate driving machine" but that's only because Porsche didn't trademark it first. The cozy cabin is a fantastic place from which to pilot this car which is responsive, quick, and nimble on the test loop and as a quality built machine, all functions operate as intended. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.

As you read this, the Boxster and Cayman models are in their final days at Porsche. This is your opportunity to get what's regarded as one of the best driver's cars ever produced because after 2025, there will be no more produced by Porsche. What is already an uncommon car will soon be even more coveted and rare and we're thrilled to represent this fine example.

      <title>2007 Porsche Cayman</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/porsche/cayman/2007/listing/236835</link>
      <description>2007 Porsche Cayman S Coupe

For consignment, a 2007 Porsche Cayman S couple showing 106,919 miles, but the true miles are unknown. This example has a rebuilt engine and the IMS bearing solution which was installed in 2002.

  Exterior
There's a body line seen in profile that starts at the headlights and flows back to become flared fenders over the rear wheels that fall lower than the hatch in back, a distinct feature that reveals the Boxster base, but also something entirely new. The intake ducts on the rear quarter panel follow the lines of the door gap, widening as they rise. A modest retracted spoiler hovers over center exit exhaust and all is surrounded by Midnight Blue Metallic paint contrasted by 19-inch multi-spoke wheels wrapped in Michelin low profile tires with a date code of mid 2020 on front and early 2022 in back. Imperfections include peeling of the seal around the Porsche emblem, a paint chip on the edge of the hood and once by the gravel guard, typical crackling of the guard, a deep scratch in the rear bumper cover and large scuff on the corner, rock chips up front, and lug nuts that would benefit from a coat of paint.

  Interior
The door panels are bathed in gray leather with contoured door handles and carpeted lowers and both doors show some slight patina. Tall back leather bucket seats are in good shape with some minor compression of the driver's. Ode is paid to its 550 heritage in the font used on the three white faced gauges ahead of the taut steering wheel while the center stack has a fully integrated AM/FM/Multi-CD player and push button A/C panel. A leather boot wraps the well executed shifter while high quality gray carpet is found in the footwell, the back wall, and along the package tray and cargo area in back, all in decent shape. Our gray headliner is nice as is the clean front trunk.

  Drivetrain
Planted midway is a 3.8 liter flat six cylinder, rebuilt with a Flat Innovations kit, fuel injected of course. It is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with an LN Engineering IMS bearing solution installed in 2022, recorded at 97,000 miles. Power is sent to the rear where it is routed through 3.875 gears.

  Undercarriage
Aerodynamic belly pans take up most of the underside where we find clean, driver quality condition, dry, (other than some residual oil on the pan), and showing not enough surface rust to mention. Dual exhaust flows through its original equipment system towards its exit via fused dual tips. Four wheel power disc brakes are on board and coil springs are front and rear augmented now by Bilstein PSS9 coil overs and Tarett Engineering lower control arms.

  Drive-Ability
Ergonomically speaking, there aren't many cars that get it this right! You really do become one with the car and our only distraction is the steering column tilt function not locking into place. Meanwhile, the flat six provides fantastic power, the Michelins provide great grip, and the suspension does its job in keeping the car level around turns. The Porsche does everything well and all functions work as they should. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.

You only need two things to join the coveted Porsche Club of America. That's a VIN number of a true Porsche, and of course, the car it is attached to. Once in the exclusive club, you'll benefit from regular meetings and events, technical assistance and information, and the thing no other car club can claim, Porsche ownership. While Boxster and Caymans might be going away, they'll always be regarded as some of the most balanced sports cars ever built, by Porsche or any other manufacturer.
