Goodguys' newest event, the Kentucky Nationals, seems likely to be a lasting success. It brought in impressive numbers of rodders from all around the area for some laid-back fun which kicked up into high gear by the end of the weekend.
Starting with a hot rod tour passing destinations from distilleries to specialty auto shops and concluding at Shelby's Speed & Custom, the event proceeded on Friday with enough rods to pack the grounds of Kentucky Horse Park, where it was held. On the weekend, the action-loving drivers of Goodguys AutoCross faced off, ending with a final round pitting a pair of Corvettes against one another.
Vendors, swap meets, bands and the Kids Zone added to the enjoyment, and things wrapped up with good impressions all around. We look forward to next year's iteration of this new event!
