The Ultimate Holiday Wish List From Our Contributors
The holidays are upon us, and we here at Hotrodhotline.com have put together a list of holiday wishes, ranging from things we’d like to share with our readers, to gifts we hope to give or receive, to general wishes of good will. Think of this as a gift guide, a letter to Hot Rod Santa, and a suggestion box all rolled into one.
A great gift would be entrance passes to a car show of choice or a year’s paid membership to one of the big guys: NSRA, GoodGuys, etc.

Books from our Book Review list, detailing packages from vendors like Surf City Garage, maybe some Goodguys or NSRA gear; all of those things are gifts you could source from the website. Tickets to the Holley NHRA Reunion in June are a must have, as is a security system from LoJack for Classics or McGard Car Lock.

Peace on earth....and it starts with each of us. But also on the list is my hope that all you hot rodders will keep this hobby is perspective...it is just this, a hobby. Family comes first, cars are way down on the list!!!!

My wish would be to steer readers to the section of our classified postings for collectibles and nostalgia. Many readers contact me with a desire to sell their racing and automotive collectibles in order to raise cash or because they've inherited collectibles and have no space for them and no idea what the objects are worth.
-Richard Parks, Contributor
(We can answer Richard’s wish immediately: Automobilia and Racing Parts and Memorobilia are both classified departments. If you need to sell your stuff, we probably have a category for it.)
I wish for Daylight Savings all year round, so all us photographers aren't in the dark.

Tools are always awesome! At SEMA there were some cool lighted floors that can make wrenching on a car in a dark garage a thing of the past. A good car cover is always a welcome addition as are quality cleaning supplies like car wash, wax, towels etc. that won’t scratch the finish!
For myself, I'm really after some photography stuff to make shooting cars easier this year. For my '69 Chevy Stepside, I want all kinds of things, including a Gearvendors overdrive so not only can I better tow with it, but it'll be faster at the track. I'd also love to get some killer under-hood stuff like old-school styled valve covers and re-ceramic coating my Hedman headers. Of course I'd also like a set of AFR heads for the 350 SBC under the hood, or heck, even a whole crate motor! Inside I'd love to add some quality wide-band gauges that are analog, not digital (they look better in old cars) and I'd also love to do a nice XM radio install so I can rip out the old 6-disc changer that was added years ago.

(Justin is working on a series of pieces for HRH for the 2013, so let’s welcome him and his wish list full of things that I’m betting many a reader can relate to.)
I’d love to see more in depth coverage on Car Clubs. I primarily shoot traditional styled hot rods and customs, and I'm in a traditional hot rod club known as the HOT HEADS. I absolutely love the brotherhood and special bond shared in small, intimate car clubs.
I would love to see a "rarest of the rare" section where rare speed equipment could be displayed and information resourced from. It would be cool to see an area of intakes, valve covers, distributors, including images of the components on and off from an engine, and in action.
I’d also enjoy a classy section of pin-up photography.

I’d like to see an expanded gear and tech section on Bikerhotline.com, and more reviews on Hotrodhotline.com.

More reader contributions in the forms of articles on their builds, their mods, their rides, and what they love about automobiles and car culture in general!
