The Iron Invasion occupied the McHenry county fairgrounds in Woodstock, Illinois this last weekend. There were 686 Registered cars 1965 or older. Also bands, pin-up contest and a slew of quality venders. Many artists were in residence. It was cold but that didn't seem to slow anyone down. This batch of photos is of the historical cars that showed up. The main draw is the famous Chrisman brothers coupe. Thanks to Dana Mecum for this car. Chris Ito brought two cars. One was The Mystery Merc that started life as a 1949 Merc. They displayed a stock Merc along with it. Chris also brought his red Ford coupe that was in the movie Rebel without a cause starring James Dean.
