  One of the special exhibits at Detroit Autorama is a clone of the famous 77 Sunset Strip “Kookie Kar”.  Our own Guest Columnist Ron Kregowski has had an obsession with this legendary car since the 50’s and he followed his dream to re-create it ... Best of all...    Many of you will remember The Black Widow, a very cool Hot Rod which first appeared in the 50’s and was very well known and loved during that era. The car disappeared only to resurface in 2005 when Richard Riddell meticulously restored it. Richard passed away last year and now this great old car is for sale. Weedetr’s Dale Caulfield started out in the street rod industry in the late 1960's doing body and paint work for his father, Jim Caulfield. Jim had a shop in Southern California that did body and paint work primarily on antique and hot rod cars. He has worked on several famous cars in his career. The first one was the Bud Bryan/Rod & Custom hiboy. This was the first of the nostalgia roadsters that pushed the return of the flathead hiboys.
