Jim and Shelly stopped by to see us with a story that was very touching... Jim was in a serious car accident and while he was recovering he found Hotrodhotline and it became a way for him to pass the time as he recovered.  As if that wasn’t  enough, Jim told us about his friend Dave Hamilton who is bravely fighting cancer and who spends time at Hotrodhotline to help him through the day.  We are so proud to be a part of Daves life each day and we just want to let you know that we are pulling for you along with all of your fellow rodders..... We’re proud to be your friend and want you to know that you are our inspiration....We’ll be at Louisville next year and look forward to meeting you there.

Alan Grove Components Introduces a tight-fit bracket system for the 1964-68 Chevelle, El Camino and other low hood applications using the short water pump and have limited space for power steering. Need an easy way to lower the rear axle of your 1965-79 Ford pickup? This newest design by Fatman Fabrications will drop the truck 5” in the back, using the original axle, without any welding being involved. A special bracket allows the axle to be shifted to the top side of the stock rear leaf springs, and a new pair of proper length shocks are bolted to special axle brackets.  Get all of the details here.

One of the biggest safety issues with our older cars is inadequate headlights. The lights and lenses were designed when 35 or 40 mph was fast. Now we are always overdriving the stock lighting. Even if you have upgraded to Halogen bulbs, the lights are still not up to modern standards because the light must pass through the cloudy stock lenses with inefficient optic design. The creative pride and joy of Steve’s Auto Restorations is this one-of-a-kind roadster designed by Chris Ito. Initial plans called for 12 fendered and 12 fenderless examples to be available for commission, with car number 1 reserved for Steve himself.
