    We heard from  Rodding legend Tex Smith last week when he wrote to send us a   “Pre Press” pdf file of his new book.  It’s a Novel  “1320” in which he takes his character, Zane Calder,  in his  “Super Bird”  to the Midwest.    “Zane” has a rich history in rodding and introduces it to the young people he meets in a small town in the MidWest.    This is a book written, in part, to bring young people into the folds of rodding by telling them about our history and all that we know and love about it, through the eyes of the character, Zane Calder.      We also found out what Tex has been up to lately and what he has planned for future writing endeavors.  Find out how to get your   autographed copy of this new book,  details on release dates, and purchase information here.
