Suspension travel and geometry are terms that are bounced around a lot without always being defined properly, especially in the context of street/hot rods.  Most cars (not rods) have approximately 5"-6" of useable suspension travel, with about 2/3 of it compression, or down travel. This is why most cars sit as high as they do. Most rods are lowered substantially from stock ride height... read more here

  On Friday July 13th American Collectors celebrated National Collector Car Appreciation Day with a classic car show at our headquarters. With weather affecting previous years’ shows, it seemed Friday the 13th brought us good luck with plenty of sunshine and a fantastic showing. Attendees were thrilled by both the diversity and quality of cars present.  From the Italian supercars; to the Brass Era; a Pre-War motorcycle and muscle cars; Fifties originals and Sixties wagons; this truly was a celebration of everything we love about collector cars.   Take a look here

Barn and Field find from the Leal Brothers     Although my brother and I (Leal Bros.) have been submitting Houston area show coverage to Hotrodhotline for a few years now, this is my first “Barn and Field Cars”. First the owner of all the vehicles are owned by my brother in-law’s ex-father in-law who also owns the property that they’re on. Stolen Mustang recovered in ONE HOUR by Lojack. On March 17, 2012, the owner of a 1965 Ford Mustang Classic went for a cruise on a Saturday, came home and parked his Classic Mustang in front of his home. On Sunday afternoon, March 18, 2012, he discovered that someone had stolen his car.
 The owner immediately reported the theft of his Mustang to Los Angeles Police Department-Northeast Division. In less than 50 minutes after entry into the California stolen system/National Crime Investigation Bureau system, officers from the LAPD Wilshire Division had picked up the silent LoJack signal, tracked and located the vehicle.  Read the story here

Jessica Clark Racing Newsletter  .... This season I compete in two 40 lap races in the same night.
