Having heard great things about the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing for years, I finally ventured over while attending the York Nostalgia Nationals show. It’s no secret that the majority of auto racing during the early days of the sport was held at fairgrounds ovals around the country. Hollowed in the sleepy grass-covered hills of the Latimore Valley Fairgrounds hosts what may be the country’s finest auto-racing museum.
While the museum strongly reflects the popularity of the open wheel, dirt track racing that's so popular throughout the northeast, you can also see a wide variety of racing machines from many other forms of racing. These include everything from sprint cars, midgets, and stock cars to motorcycles, Indy cars, NASCAR, drag racing and more! Enjoy the great pics from the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing and put this on your list of palces to see!
