Hines Park Cruise August 25, 2013
Westland, MichiganSunday, August 25, 2013
Instead of the pumper sticker that said "I Cruised Hines Park", it should read "I Survived the 3rd Annual Hines Park Cruise." What started out as a cooling system test with huge traffic jams at major intersections, confusion and the lack adequate traffic control somehow turned into a semi organized cruise thru some of the prettiest inner-city road sides in Michigan. If it was due to the last ditch efforts of the promoters or the creativity of the cruisers I do not know, but suspect a little of both. Although the exact numbers are still being counted, it appears that this cruise doubled in size from last year’s record number of cars and people. Edward Hines Park winds along the Middle Rouge River past soccer fields, baseball diamonds and picnic areas, 15 miles in length and truly a beautiful asset to have access to. Enjoy the pics!
