2014 Grand National Roadster Show
Pomona, CaliforniaFriday, January 24, 2014
“The Grand Daddy of Them All” when it comes to car shows is the Grand National Roadster Show. This year marks 11 consecutive years for the show being hosted at the L.A. Fairgrounds in Pomona, California and it's the shows 65th anniversary! Just in case you haven’t been paying attention this show was once known as the Oakland Roadster Show and it's the longest running indoor car show in the world. This years' theme was "Need For Speed", and as part of that an entire indoor building was dedicated to the "100th anniversary of racing at the Bonneville Salt Flats".
Held in all seven Fairplex exhibit buildings plus surrounding grounds, the Grand National Roadster Show roared into town Jan 23-26, 2014 with the finest roadsters in the country vying for the coveted America's Most Beautiful Roadster (AMBR) award. The show is always huge with more than 500 custom roaders competing for awards, and another 800 vehicles that roll in to participate in the 9th Annual "Grand Daddy Drive-in". Along with all these magnificent vehicles there were plenty of celebs in attendance, pin striping contests, vendors and live music on stage during all three days of the event. This show is a must see event; mark your calendar now for next years’ event.
