Lake Mirror Classic
Lakeland, FloridaFriday, October 17, 2014
Wayne and I attended the Lake Mirror Classic in Lakeland, Florida. This was our first time attend and we enjoyed every moment. This was their 15th year for the show. We were showing our 1935 Ford Tudor Sedan during the Hot Rod Rendezvous Friday night around Lake Mirror. There were about 75 autos that night. The evening was enjoyed with bands, food and lots of people enjoying the autos. On Saturday, Oct 18th there were two events being held hand in hand. The Concours de’Elegance was held around Lake Mirror and an Open Car Show was held at the top of the hill in the downtown streets. They had at least 500 autos in the open car show. The Concours was a judged show. The Open Car Show was not judged but the sponsors go around and put ribbon on the cars they liked. We were lucky enough to received a ribbon and on Saturday morning newspaper The Ledger had a picture of our 35 on the front page. So we were very happy and had a wonderful time.
