On a beautiful Summer’s evening the cruise was in full swing with both cars and spectators out enjoying an evening of D.J. music, raffles and other activities. One of the unusual cars out tonight was a 1970’s era American Motors Pacer, which at the time caused quite a sensation with its very unusual wide design. So wide, that it touted advertising that allowed a 6 foot long submarine sandwich could be carried widthwise inside the car. Exactly why, I am not certain, but there was quite an ad campaign made around that idea. So, enjoy the Pacer along with the imitation submarine sandwich stacked on its roof!
