19th Annual El Segundo Main Street Car Show

On August 20 the 19th annual Main Street Car Show was presented, the first time, by the El Segundo Chamber of Commerce and The Automotive Driving Museum. It was open to all makes & models of cars and trucks. The weather was clear and warmed up about 10:00am, then the tree lined streets provided good shade.
To say the City of El Segundo hasn’t changed in the last 50 years would be a gross exaggeration. This comfortable, quaint vintage town of 16,000+ looks much the same as it did years ago. The high rise buildings are on the East side along Sepulveda, the West side is the Hyperian water treatment plant and the Pacific Ocean, to the North is L.A. Airport, and the Chevron refinery occupies the South side. Main Street downtown looks like a 60’s era movie set.
The very unique event logo was produced by Troy Stephens III & “Boiling Point Creative Group” of El Segundo. Spectators and participants enjoyed vendors showing their wares, raffles, a 50/50 drawing, live music was provided all day by “JETPACK”, great food was available along Main St. If you haven’t seen this unique city, it is worth a visit.
