Billetproof
Antioch, CASaturday, September 17, 2016
Billetproof is 20 years old. This show started out in a Bay Area bowling parking lot. It moved a few times and found a home in Antioch at the fairgrounds. Kirk Jones started the show with old hot rods in mind. They used to say "Avoid the Boyd" - no billet wheels or parts. Someone else said "In rust we trust." Slowly, painted cars have come in, but some cars are still not let in, and they park in a side parking lot. Lots of vendors, live music, and fun for the family are what matters at Billetproof. This has been called the "World's Least Important Car Show," but in the Bay Area it is a must-attend event for many.
