Whittier Area Classic Car Show

The 7th Annual Whittier Area Classic Car Show was held on February 24, 2018, on the lush grounds of the Whittier Area Community Church. This classic car show is one of the best organized shows in Southern California! All 415 pre-‘76 vehicles had designated parking spaces and were courteously helped to those spaces. The cold morning weather quickly gave way to comfortable temperatures and sunny blue skies. This was more of an event than a car show.
Admission was free to the public. The spectators enjoyed an array of vintage classic vehicles, three live bands, at least six food trucks, over 30 vendor booths, games, activities for kids and ground shaking nostalgia funny cars and dragsters! Almost-free things included event T-shirts, opportunity drawings and raffle prizes! The car show was open to all pre-‘76 makes and models of American, foreign classic and collector vehicles.
Toward the end of the show, near 3:00, special handmade trophies were awarded in over 20 categories and the raffle grand prize was awarded.
A portion of this year’s net proceeds will be used to help fund a Whittier Union High School District Scholarship honoring fallen Whittier Police officer Keith Boyer.
