Rally in the Alley 7
Tomball, TXSaturday, March 3, 2018
It is spring time in Texas and we are headed to badsville for the Rally in the Alley vintage auto show hosted by the Rumble Cats car club. This is lucky number 7 for this show, and what a crowd there was this year for the event. Hotrods and customs were lined up early to get into the show grounds and the vendors were set up and ready for the day to begin.
Rally in the Alley is held in downtown Tomball, Texas at the railroad depot, a historic area rich in history and filled with antique shops, restaurants and boutiques. There is plenty of shade in this park-like setting and it’s a perfect place for all the cars to park too. This show has really evolved over the years and is fast becoming a must-attend event in Texas. It has a real vintage feel and a cool car vibe unmatched by other shows. The old downtown location is the perfect backdrop for such a show and offers up plenty of things to do and see for everyone.
The weather was perfect and the cars were packed on the show grounds, with a great mix of hotrods, customs, classics and muscle cars. The entertainment was awesome, with DJ Catman and Devilwoman spinning some cool tunes to get the folks primed and ready for the musical guests Johnwayneisdead, The Nelsons and all the way from Sweden, The Go Getters, who got people on their feet and rocked the crowd till the end of the day. It was a good dose of hotrod culture Texas style with some really nice door prizes and righteous trophies for the show winners.
Many of the chapters of the Rumble Cats car club come together to support this show and make it a great family event. This is a great example of what a car show should be like, so Rally in the Alley ought to be on your schedule for next year. Be there or be square, daddy-o!
