NAPA Car-Truck-Motorcycle Show
South Plainfield, NJSunday, June 3, 2018
The NAPA Car-Truck-Motorcycle Show went off as scheduled despite the gloomy skies, which periodically spit and dribbled on the participants. DJ “Richie Flash” entertained the crowd, Bob’s Hotdog Wagon provided a nice menu of hotdogs, sandwiches and subs, and for the diecast collectors, a vendor provided a wide selection of items to choose from.
The entry fee for the show is a $5.00 donation, with participants free to donate more if they choose to do so, and with ALL the proceeds going to the Camp Dill Foundation.
Unfortunately, mostly due to the cold and clammy weather, attendance wasn’t as robust as normal; plus, it is this writer’s understanding that five other groups within a fair driving distance from South Plainfield also scheduled events for the same day.
The awards for the participants were given out around 2:00 P.M., and yours truly beat feet home, where the 5 hour detailing, and cleaning session took place on my Trans Am.
Even though the weather was dismal, the spirits among the participants were high, “Richie Flash” and crew did a GREAT job once again putting on this event, and I hope next year’s date falls on a Sunday when I can attend again.
