The 2016 Fountain Valley Classic Car & Truck Show was held on June 25, 2018 at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley, CA. Mile Square Park is aptly named; it is one mile long on all four sides and was used as a helicopter base during World War II. Pete Haak and his committee once again created a wonderful car show to add to the 4 day Summerfest Carnival that the City of Fountain Valley stages each year. The site was along Brookhurst Street and was easily accessible. The tree lined venue was surrounded by two golf courses and the weather was almost always sunny and pleasant. It was a grassy area with many walking paths for vendors and car show entrants to put up pop-up tents and lawn chairs. The car show had the radiant Olivia Ooms entertaining show goers all day with a nice mix of songs. The vendor’s booths surrounded the car show. The Pinstriper’s Circus was manned by ‘Hot Rod’, ‘Kong’ and other artists. It’s always nice to see them and they were very interesting to talk to and find out what’s going on at the show. There were vendors to suit every taste. The registration booth included registration and raffle prizes. If you entered your car you receive a well stocked “Goodie Bag” and a plaque for participating. The 2018 Fountain Valley Car & Truck Show was a fun event.
