Hot Wheels Legends Tour 2019
Secaucus, NJSaturday, June 15, 2019

The Mattel company’s highly successful Hot Wheels vehicle series is celebrating 50 years of production and launched a series of Shows around the country to scout for their next round of vehicles to be made into Hot Wheels miniatures.
On June 15 th of this year, the Show came to Secaucus New Jersey, in the Walmart Parking Lot. The Show was FREE to enter, and basically all one had to do, was fill out an Online Entry Form, and the approval was sent within days to your E-Mail Address provided.
Line up time for the Show was 7:30 a.m., and even arriving at 7:05 a.m., the line was already 4-5 blocks long, and it just kept getting longer. As each vehicle entered the area by the Registration Table, the entry Forms on the Dashboard were quickly checked, a photo of the entered vehicle taken, and one was then directed into the Show Field, and guided to a parking spot.
The criteria for the Hot Wheels Tour representatives to pick your vehicle, gave a strong hint as to just what they were looking for, and that was mainly high dollar, out there wild, far from ordinary vehicles. On the flip side though, one paid ZERO to enter, show off their vehicle, and have fun. Contrary to the views of some, the vehicles were not pre-picked, but there were teams of Hot Wheels Show Staff that roamed the Show Field, looking for those high dollar out there vehicles, so if your vehicle wasn’t what they were looking for, it didn’t get picked.
All in all, I had fun, saw a lot of familiar faces and vehicles, and since there was no entry fee, I wasn’t concerned if my vehicle was picked to be a Hot Wheels vehicle or not.
For those that wanted them, there were Show T-Shirts for sale in the Walmart, for $8.88 each.
The Show officially ended at 12:00 p.m., and within a half hour, most of the participants had left.
