Back in early March before stay at home orders and all the COVID chaos; I attended the Rally in the Alley car show in Tomball, Texas. Life was still “normal” as we knew it and people still gathered to enjoy a weekend with friends and family.

The event had all the makings of a great day for a car show and the hot rods, custom cars, muscle cars and motorcycles quickly filled the old train depot square. Live music filled the air and folks were certainly having a great time talking cars and enjoying the day. Blue Rooster Customs was pulling lines on some righteous rides while pin up girls stroll the grounds for photo opportunities. Lots of raffle items were given away including a way cool skateboard and beach cruiser bicycle. Vendors like Universal Technical Institute and others were staged around the park and surrounded by an abundance of pre 68 cars and trucks. The location of this show certainly contributes to the success and really offers up a lot to do for the whole family. The whole event sits in the middle of fantastic area of quaint little antique and boutique shops and restaurants that line the main street and much of the side streets in the area.

Rally in the Alley has moved up the list of must attend shows in Texas. The Rumble Cats car club who host this event have a good handle on how to organize and manage this event and not let it get out of control. The city of Tomball, Texas welcomes them and supports them and you should too. So come on down to badsville and join the Rally in the Alley next year.
