RARITAN BAY CRUISERS PIZZA HUT CRUISE NIGHT RT 9 NORTH & POND RD

While I haven’t been able to get to the Raritan Bay Cruisers event as often as I would like, I have to say that whenever I’ve gone to this event, I’ve always enjoyed it. On my most recent trip this evening, I drove my 1982 Ford Fairmont Futura, which I refer to as my “Nature Made Ratrod.” I believe the car’s outward appearance explains my self-applied name for the vehicle. I arrived at the Cruise Night venue around 5:30 p.m., just as the Raritan Bay Cruisers were setting up, and while not their usual capacity crowd, the turnout was still good, and as has been the issue with other Car Shows and Cruise Nights this season, overcast skies probably deterred more vehicle owners from bringing out their vehicles. The Trophy presentations commenced at around 8:00 p.m., and much to my surprise, my 1982 Ford got a Trophy. I think it was for the most rust and dents, but I still felt honored that a Sponsor chose my car. The Cruise Night wrapped up for the evening at about 8:30 p.m., at which time I did a drive through to Video the remaining vehicles, and then went on my way
