This year we were once again able to attend the Fall Meet of the Antique Automobile Club of America in Hershey Pennsylvania, and while there was a sizeable number of vehicles on the Show Field, the overall attendance was down quite noticeably over previous years. One constant though was the number Orphan make vehicles on display, from the turn of the last century, and up into the late 20th Century. Of particular interest to me, was a 1960 Plymouth Convertible, equipped with the Sonoramic V-8 (Cross Ram V-8 for Plymouth and Dodge in 1960). In the pre-WWII era, there were vehicles from Nash, Willys, Bantam, Stearns Knight, Hispano Suiza, and Stanley Steamer to name a few brands. Pontiac, Mopars, and AMC were also well represented at the A.A.C.A. Fall Meet. By 3:30 p.m. the vehicle owners were in their vehicles and making their way off the Show Field, which allowed me to get several nice photos of the Stanley Steamer underway. Our troop also left shortly after 3:30 p.m., made a short visit to Hershey’s Chocolate World, and a quick visit to the non-affiliated A.A.C.A. Museum on our way home.
