Local Garage Tour By Bill Junge
Lake Havasu City, ArizonaMonday, January 16, 2012
This morning we went on a tour of some local garages. In addition to myself and my cousin's husband, there were two from Alaska plus 6 Canadians who are winter visitors to Arizona, two from Alberta, three from Manitoba and one from Ontario. Our tour started this morning at Denny Cissell’s garage and he gave us the full tour of his museum quality garage.
Next we visited Dick Raczuk and looked at some of his cars and his turbo charged Northstar Graham Hollywood project that will surely be a car featured in a magazine when it's done. Dick is a true craftsman and builds everything he needs for his projects. He had his 1920 Willys Knight in the garage, getting ready to bring it back to life and his Stutz dual cowl touring car.
From there, five of us went to visit HRHL photographer John Stimac's new "club house" as he called it. His collection of 32 Fords and original 32 Ford grills hanging on the wall is quite impressive. One of the things John is most proud of is the poster given to him by Jack and Maryann.
John then took us next door to Howard Fabrication to see a couple of cars that were getting interiors installed .
