A few years back, longtime Paso Robles resident and certified automobile enthusiast Dick Woodland, along with his family, opened the Woodland Auto Display at the Estrella Warbird Museum, located at 4251 Dry Creek Road, adjacent to the Paso Robles Airport…the Estrella Warbird Museum had already established itself as a place to visit, and with the addition of the Woodland Auto Display moved right to the head of the ‘must see’ list, as the Woodland Auto Display rivals any of the top collections/museums in the nation with a display of many of the top sprint cars and midgets to have ever hit the track, and get this, most are ‘race ready’, and could be fired up with the required fluids added…in addition, the memorabilia collection of signed guitars, helmets and vintage photographs and posters fill the walls, you can easily devote several hours to take it all in…enjoy the tour!

(Well known West Coast race car driver/owner and Paso Robles resident Kenny Van Blargen recently passed away; Kenny was often a docent at the Woodland Auto Display, with his racing roots tied heavily to the Woodland family; Kenny raced into his eighties at vintage events on the West Coast, until sustaining disabling injuries a couple of years back; in honor of him, one of his cars was displayed to commemorate his career…we’ll miss you, Kenny)
