South Plainfield New Jersey Rescue Squad 6th Annual Car Show
South Plainfield, New JerseySunday, July 8, 2012
The South Plainfield New Jersey Rescue Squad held their 6th annual Car Show Fundraiser today (July 8, 2012), in the Parking Lot adjacent to their Squad building. The turnout was good, and the Show participants were treated to either two free Hamburgers, two free Hotdogs, or one of each, and a drink. Live DJ music was spun by Stickshift Eddie, and Jimmy Fitz had a nice selection of model diecast vehicles available for purchase. The vehicle mix included a 1931 Model A 5 window coupe, several nice Motorcycles, some stock, and a few modified imports, along with a number of domestic stock production vehicles, Streetrods, Hotrods, and domestic Modifieds.
While it was quite warm again, at least there was a breeze blowing, and for a lucky few, some shade towards the back of part of the Show field. Trophies were awarded at 3:00 P.M., and once the Awards were presented, the tired and hot, but otherwise happy participants, left for cooler accommodations.
