Monday's Hot Rod Week 2012 and the Goodguys West Coast Nationals
Sacramento area and Pleasanton, CAMonday, August 20, 2012
August was a very busy, but a fun month to have a Hot Rod. I reported earlier on Reno's Hot August Nights and Andy's Picnic. I might have trailered the Roadster to Reno for the Virginia Street Cruise, but I hit the road to Sutter Creek, Ca. three (3) days in a row. By the third day, I was contacted by the neighborhood Security Guard who reported to me, that he received four separate phone calls complaining about the noise (open headers). Obviously, waiting until after 10 a.m. was not sufficient. I might have boosted my ?street cred? because Hot Rods are supposed to be loud, but I don?t need to do it at the expense of my new neighbors.
As a result, I put the Deuce on the trailer Sunday night for Goodguys Hot Rod Week on Monday morning Aug. 20, 2012. When Monday morning came, I fired-up the Deuce at work and drove to Jackson, Ca. to meet-up with Andy Brizio and a bunch of other Hot Rods. There, we drove to Sacramento Vintage Ford, R/C Country Hobbies and The Gary Matranga Collection (Owner Sherm's Plating).
The following weekend was the West Coast Nationals in Pleasanton Ca. Aug. 24 -26, 2012. Here are some photos from Monday's Hot Rod Week and the Goodguys West Coast Nationals. Enjoy!
