Symco Shakedown #4 Aug. 10-11, 2012
Symco, WIFriday, August 10, 2012
I recently spent some time at the Symco Shakedown in rural Wisconsin. This was my first time at this show and it won't be my last. This is a traditional Hot Rod, Custom and Cycle Show. In other words, 1964 and older vehicles, no billet, no digital, no modern wheels and rubber band tires. If you didn't see it in the school parking lot in 1964 you don't belong in the traditional show area. There is another area for other classic and muscle cars. To many this is a lifestyle. They dress accordingly and walk the walk. A highlight is the pin-up contest. The venue is fantastic. It takes place on the show ground known as Unionville. It's a reconstructed small town setting. Scattered throughout are dozens of vintage tractors and equipment. A must see show. Thanks to Mike and his crew. Jim Whistleman
