Let me ask you.  If you could save just one person’s life, wouldn’t that be special?  What if you could help save the lives of 1000+ men in just 12 days!!   That accomplishment alone says this event is miraculous!!

At 4:30am, the gates opened for the Lucky 13th Annual Cruisin’™ For A Cure. the largest single day charity car cruise and show in the country.  At 7:30am, the “Drive Against Prostate Cancer Van” opened for FREE PSA cancer screenings.  This year alone 900+ men were tested free for Prostate Cancer!   3,200+ participants cruised thru the “Cure”.   From its inception, 200,000 spectators have contributed to its success.  Year after year hundreds of vendors have supported the “Cure” and provided information on their latest products. This year 230+ vendors included, Meguiars, AAA, Hot Wheels, FIRESTONE, Strut Marine, Magnuson, Orange Coast Dodge and Jeep, Connell Chevrolet, Guaranty Chevrolet, Budnik, D&D Golf Car Service, Currie, Mickey Thompson Tires, Lucas Oil, Prolong, Mac Tools, B&M/Flowmaster, and Russo-Steele.

In 13 years, this event has raised not only Prostrate Cancer awareness but also over $1,200,000 for a Cure!!   Again this year, The City of Hope is the beneficiary.  The success of this event has spawned other similar shows in New York, Texas, Utah, St. Louis, Oklahoma, Las Vegas and Ontario, Canada.

During the day, Ed Iskenderian, Shirley Muldowney, Kenny Youngblood, Barry Meguiar, and George Barris circulated thru the event.  “The Answer” and the “Ravelers” bands performed live all day.   The model car contest was sponsored by Mark Jones from ScaleMasters.  At Noon, the talented Casey Simpson gave a live concert.  Awards were given to 60 deserving cars.  The “For Sale” area included 70 cars.  It will be back next year.  Dave McClelland gave the invocation and he provided informative announcements all day.  Dave IS the Master of Ceremonies!
