Fox Run Car Show
Fox Run Retirement Commmunity, Novi, MIWednesday, October 17, 2012
I was told this was spoken with the excitement of a child hearing the sounds of the ice cream truck. But, on this beautiful October afternoon, while some of the residents could barely contain their excitement at the arrival of the hotrods, we, the hotrods, were wondering exactly what we had gotten ourselves into. A private car show was far a field from our normal car event schedule and having one at a facility of this type was a first for us. But, as the afternoon light filtered thru the remaining colored leaves, a line of 14 brightly colored, shiny chrome plated and flame painted hotrods wound through the beautiful grounds, trying to adhere to the posted speed limits. After parking, we were greeted by some of the nicest people that we have ever met, along with the music of the Brain Alexander Band and a selection of foods served outdoors. Our purpose was to bring something different to the residents and this all came about through the efferent of some Motor State Street Rod members who have parents living here. We had a wonderful time and, from the looks on the faces of the residents, they were very happy too. Enjoy the pics!
