Clay County Cruisers and the Southeastern KY Cruisers Cruise to Oakwood Acres

On Saturday, April 6, 2013, the Clay County Cruisers joined the Southeastern KY Cruisers in their Cruise to Oakwood Acres, located just a few miles north of McKee Ky, nestled in the beautiful mountains of southeastern Ky. None of us had been to Oakwood Acres, all we knew was it was a little place where you were taken back to the 1920s and 1930s. Well, let me tell you it was indeed a step back in time, all of the older rodders related all to well with what we saw there. Oakwood Acres is owned and was constructed by one man, alone, Mr Travis E Sparks, pictured with the hat in my pics, Mr Sparks told me he was 91 years young and he personally built and procured all the furnishings in his little town by himself.  He gave us a tour of this town and he seemed to be in better physical condition than many of us cruisers. I thank the Southeastern KY Cruisers for the great Cruises they come up with, this one was outstanding, as you will see by the pics.
