1st Annual B.R.A.S.A. Car Truck & Bike Show
Blue Ridge Rodeo Grounds in Blue Ridge, TexasSaturday, May 4, 2013
There are car shows all over the country but some of the best ones are those that are doing it for a special purpose. The Blue Ridge Area Sports Association of Blue Ridge,Texas wanted to raise money for their youth sports organization, so they decided a car show would be a great way to do it.
The show was an open car show; if it had wheels you could show it. There was Mike the Sound Masters DJ crankin’ out the tunes all day, a bouncy house for the kids and plenty of concessions with all the proceeds going to B.R.A.S.A.’s youth sports. A good variety of cars and trucks along with a few motorcycles graced the grounds of the Blue Ridge Rodeo Arena. There were a couple of unique ones like a limo Chevy truck complete with a scaled down winged outlaw in the bed and a tricked out lowrider bicycle.
This was B.R.A.S.A.’s first car show but I’m sure it will not be their last. The community really showed their support and everyone had a great time while supporting a worthy cause. It was a successful event and B.R.A.S.A. raised about $1500 for sports equipment and other necessities the organization needed. Thanks to all the sponsors, volunteers, participants and spectators for supporting all these young folks!
