5th annual Kustom Kulture Festival
Clearwater Casino in Suquamish WashingtonSaturday, June 1, 2013
Yesterday we attended the 5th annual Kustom Kulture Festival at their new location the Clearwater Casino in Suquamish Washington. They were previously located at another site, but the popularity of the event outrgrew their venue. We ventured a a little outside our box and had a great time. We were parked and ready to stay put and enjoy the day when we were invited by two great couples from Oregon to join them next to the stage to complete their "Flame Theme", how great was that! They even invited us to seek some shade under their pop up.
The cars these genius's build are amazing, there is no limit when it comes to the street rodding addiction. There was power, design and just plain love of the sport. Why do I call it a sport? because we all put love, blood, sweat and tears into each and every vehicle regardless of the price or adorements. There were over 250 cars and 200+ motorcycles.
The pinup Girls were fun loving and had no hesitation posing for pictures with the participants cars. This festival was created by the owners of the Rocket Roost retro chic store (owners, Hanah Reed and Chuck Mitchell) located in the Silverdale Mall. Then to cap off a great day, our beautiful 49 Mercury received the "Missionator Award" presented by Mission Reed, the son of the creators. It was a very special award and much appreciated, thanks Mission! Enjoy, Lindee
