The 50th Anniversary of “Candy Apple Red Paint” The stuff of songs and LEGENDS and even Santa’s sleigh!

It is not every day that an automotive paint inspires the Beach Boys to write a song! Roughly remembered, it’s something like, Santa Claus was driving in a Candy Apple Red Sleigh

Joe Bailon of Northern California developed Candy Apple Red paint, fifty years ago. An accident it was, as this incredibly talented car Customizer experimented with pigment combinations. A gift it was for the rest of the automotive and motorcycle industry (and for sleigh makers too!).

During the annual San Francisco Rod Custom and Motorcycle Show Hall of Fame ceremony January 12,2007, Hall of Famer “Candy Apple Red” Joe Bailon will be honored for his gift to the industry.

As the Official Premium Car/Motorcycle Care Products for the Show, Buffalo Milke Automotive Polishing Products, Inc.® of Northern California will host Joe Bailon for autographs at its Main Arena Booth both Saturday and Sunday of the Show.

Meet Legend Joe Bailon and hear him recount the moment of discovery of Candy Apple Red Paint. He also has stories to tell about the custom jobs for Hollywood’s “A” List like James Garner, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Sammy Davis Jr., etc. Also one of the most famous cars ever built was Miss Elegance, which he did, winning multiple national awards. He most recently customized one of the last Prowlers with his 50 years of trademark flair.

To celebrate this historical moment, Candy Apple Joe Bailon will autograph LIMITED EDITION commemorative posters for the 50th Anniversary that will be collectible. Also Buffalo Milke Automotive has created special LIMITED EDITION Candy Apple bumper stickers for your collections.

One man has made a huge contribution, to the evolution of the industry for customizing rides, and inspired many a little boy.

Celebrate Joe’s legendary achievements. Come to the Buffalo Milke® Booth and say in person “Thank You, Joe! Thanks for making a difference!...a beautiful difference!”

The San Francisco Rod, Custom and Motorcycle show is set for January 12-13-14, 2007 at the historic Cow Palace in Daily City, Ca.
