	DEUCE OF SPADES - THE FULL FEATURE HOTROD FILM EVERYBODY IS TALKING ABOUT

A Hotrod Full Feature Film By Faith Granger

Most of you already know about it, but for those who don't, Mary Ann has asked me to introduce my film and myself as well as keep you updated weekly on the progress and behind the scenes stuff not everybody gets to know about.

Yes. After waiting for over thirty years the hotrod community is finally going to get a NEW HOTROD FILM. And this one is not coming from a big money making machine Hollywood studio. No, this one is coming from the heart of a humble hotrod girl who has fallen deeply in love with a roadster a few years ago. Some of you remember me when HotrodHotline featured my deuce and I on their home page around the time the 75th anniversary of the Deuce was going on. At the time I had made a small documentary honoring the ladies of hotrodding (such as Veda Orr) and when I met Mary Ann at the GNRS that year I let her in on a little secret: I had so much fun making my home made docu that I had decided to next give a Full Feature hotrod film a crack. A crazy idea, but one that stuck. I got started two weeks later and have been working non stop on this project of epic proportions ever since. It has

been two full years now.

The challenge? Make a hotrod film of substance and depth, a fiction that would bring the early 50's era back to life, entirely by myself and on a no budget. A pure labor of love. One woman and her camera. I tackled all aspect of the making of the film, including writing the script, scouting locations, rounding up cars, extras, casting, wardrobe and props, set decor, directing, doing the lighting and cinematography and even editing.

Over 100 minutes of period correct footage has already been filmed and edited! With only about 6 or 8 months more to go, I expect the film to be completed and available on DVD this summer. My cinematographic effort has already been getting great acclaim within the indie film making community as well as the hotrod community worldwide. The Deuce and I were honored to be the cover of WHEELS magazine this month, Europe's largest hotrod publication. With many large write ups in several countries such as New Zealand, France, Italy, Finland, Sweden and more to come, the buzz is on and it's buzzing LOUD. I suspect DEUCE OF SPADES will become a cult film. I am dedicated to finish it and can't wait to share it with all of you. Look for weekly updates in your HotrodHotline weekly newsletter.
