Whittier, CA (February 25, 2009)- When the first Ford Mustang rolled off the assembly line back in March of 1964, Hedman Hedders had already been building headers for a full decade. Simple bolt on tubes (by today's standards) that improved the performance of hot rods and race cars.
More than fifty years later, Hedman Hedders is still doing the same thing. That thing being, building headers that improve the performance of hot rods and race cars. The only difference is that Hedman now has 50 plus years of experience building them. More than any other manufacturer around today.
When it comes to Mustang headers, Hedman is no "one trick pony". Between racing and street applications, Hedman offers more than 50 hedders numbers for use on 1964 to 2008 Mustangs.
The Full-Length headers shown here are ELITE Model (Ultra-Duty) headers for use on 1964-73 Mustangs with a 260-302W, or 1969-73 models with a 351W (part #88308). Hedman's ELITE Model hedders are built using thicker 14 gauge tubes, tougher 3/8" flanges, and ceramic coated for more reasons than just good looks. Hedman's Ceramic-metallic coating protects your headers against corrosion, and keeps exhaust heat in the tubes for higher exhaust velocity and lower engine bay temperatures. The tubes are 1-5/8" diameter with a gasketless 3" ball/socket collector. Both long tube and "Shorty" style models are available.
As with all Hedman Street Hedders, these headers are manufactured in the USA, using mandrel bent pipes for maximum power gains, and backed by Hedman's Lifetime Warranty. Coatings are guaranteed for 5 years.
