Darryl Starbird’s 46th Annual Exotic Car Show 
Tulsa, OK

$20,000.00 “GO FOR THE GOLD” TULSA, OK - WINNER Doug Weigel of Albuquerque, NM with completely hand built one of a kind 1910 Ford T named “Tiki”. just received $20,000.00 cash at Darryl Starbird’s National Rod & Custom Car Show in Tulsa, OK on February 19, 20,21, 2010. 

The $20,000.00 cash award “Go for the Gold” is a complex award, it is the combination of creativity, workmanship, execution, and individual design with imagination. The winner was chosen from a field of nine unbelievable vehicles from throughout the USA.  

(Jeff Rowray of Norman, OK with a 1951 Studebaker;
Doug Weigel of Albuquerque, NM with a 1910 Ford T;
Bill Long of Joplin, MO with a 1965 Chevelle;
Marty Foery of Black Forest, CO with a 1927 Ford T;
Dale Johns of Van Buren, AR with a 1957 Chevy;
Michael Baker of Harrah, OK with a 1935 Chevy Sedan;
Jack Walker of Belton, MO with a 1941 Buick;
Yogi Snider of S. Coffeyville, Ok with a 1955 Chevy PU 
Billy Ray and Starla Hoffman of Van Buren, AR with a 1968 Camaro).

These vehicles were all awarded a “Fine Nine Trophy” for being a part of this prestigious competition.  Jack Walker’s unique custom built 41 Buick and one of the Fine Nine winners was also the winner of Darryl’s Personal Choice award, and the Hall of Fame choice went to the unbelievable 1968 Camaro owned by Billy Ray & Starla Hoffman built by D & D Specialty Cars of Van Buren, Arkansas.  

Starbird’s Tulsa show is in its 46th annual presentation. The “Go for the Gold” $20,00.00 cash is in its 7th Annual presentation. Tulsa is the largest indoor car show in the country having over 1000 vehicles in competition.
