UPDATE: Massachusetts bill to allow restored year-of-manufacture plates passes committee, moves to House floor.
Legislation (H.B. 1872) was reintroduced for the 2018 session and assigned to the House Committee on House Steering, Policy and Scheduling. Vehicles registered as “Antique” may display YOM plates with DMV approval. Antique vehicles are defined as vehicles more than 25 years old that are maintained solely for use in exhibitions, club activities, parades and other functions of public interest. The bill passed its House committee and is now up for consideration on the House floor.
