"My sister's navy blue BMW 128i was stolen on Monday morning between 10am and 3:30pm. It was parked in Pasadena, CA. We have filed a police report, and we also have BMW Assist to help track the location, but as of now nothing has been accomplished in terms of finding it. I know it's a long shot, but I read an article that said not to underestimate the value of community help when a car is stolen!
If you're in the LA area (doubt the thief is in Pasadena at this point), please keep your eyes out for this car. It is navy/midnight metallic blue. I couldn't find an exact picture of it in this color, but I have included a stock photo below of it in white. It looks a lot like a 228i but smaller. She normally keeps her license plate in the dashboard/window, and there is no front plate. Her back plate had a UC Berkeley license plate frame. Also, this car is very special to her and has a lot of sentimental value. We would much prefer to find it than have our insurance cover another.
As a reward, we are offering in cash the value of the deductible that we would have to pay in exchange for information that leads to the recovery of the car. We do NOT wish to encourage anyone to approach the driver if the car is spotted, but please let us know via comments if you think you might've seen it somewhere. Thanks so much for reading.
