The 3rd Annual Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama took over the entire Atlanta Motor Speedway infield in April under warm and sunny skies for a popular two-day event.

The Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama is in just its third edition. The massive celebration of anything and everything with an engine has grown into one of the largest festivals of its kind in the South. There is something for everybody at the annual two-day event, from hot rods to rat rods to motorcycles and monster trucks.

This year, the show was bigger and better than the previous two years with more than 1,000 classic and collector cars, hundreds of vendors, a swap meet, Autocross competitions, Hot Rodders of Tomorrow qualifying events, and more.

"I've got to say, this is probably the best car and motorcycle event in the Southeast," said show attendee Scott Hall. "We had a wonderful day checking out the hundreds of show cars and bikes, watching monster trucks doing tricks and crushing cars, semis racing around the Atlanta Motor Speedway parking lot, autocrossing, killer swap meet, corn dogs, funnel cakes, and finally doing three laps around the speedway."

More than 200 awards were handed out at the event, from Classic Chevy to Cool Custom and from Street Scraper to Vintage Trailer. In addition, nearly $20,000 in cash and prizes was awarded to show participants.

"We had a great time at the Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama," said Mike Goldman of Mike Goldman Customs, Inc. "[We] brought home an ISCA pick for Mr. Rice's 1956 Chevrolet, Event Director's Pick for Mr. Brown's 1939 Chevrolet and the Hot Rod Award for Mike's 1932 Ford. It was our first time to attend this show, but it won't be our last."

The 4th Annual Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama is set for April 22-23, 2017 and it promises to be an even bigger and better show than the last.
