From Tom Simpson:
It was at the 2013 Labor Day Cruise that my wife, Bev, told Rick of her dream. It seems when she was in her mid teens, she borrowed her big sister's '55 because she wanted to do some major cruising of the So Cal hot spots.
She dreamt of some day having her own.
So, with the help of Classic Car Marketing owners Rick and Tempie Abate, we set out to locate and build a '55Chevy to make Bev's dream come true. I located a '55, and Rick and I ultimately got it and the dream became a reality.
It took all of the Classic Car Marketing partners accumulated over time, a few Rick and I got from SEMA, and the car started to come together.
Originally found in Carson, CA, the car had bucket seats, a four speed, a target motor and needed new everything.
Today, it is a show contender with new paint, auto transmission, Blue Tooth, amplifier, interior and a true 60's Hot Rod look.
It is sponsored by a major car care product, has won at Del Mar, and other shows and has appeared on the hill in front of Danchuk Automotive.
