The MSD Atomic Deuce project is well underway. This is MSD’s 1932 Ford 5 window coupe that will be powered with an LS3 engine and a 4L65 transmission. This hot rod will be a platform to showcase the MSD Atomic LS fuel injection system along with some new, secret products that will be debuted at SEMA. MSD’s own in-house master craftsman, Bobby Woleslagle, is heading up the project right at MSD’s R&D facility and he has been busy fabricating, fitting, welding and assembling the Pete and Jakes Chassis supplied to MSD by Posies. The rolling chassis features Coker BFG Silvertown tires on Rocket Igniter wheels, Wilwood brakes, Bilstein shocks, a Ford 9” rearend with a 4.11 posi unit and a fully chromed out front suspension. This week Bobby has been fitting the incredibly accurate 32 Ford 5 window body made by New Age Motorsports in Connecticut. Bobby is one of the best fiberglass guys in the country having spent years building performance jet boats before joining MSD. This made cutting and glassing in the right size transmission tunnel a breeze. The Tanks Inc. fuel tank dropped right between the rear frame rails and the Walker Radiator fitted in the Brookville grill shell supplied by our friends at Motorstate really sets off the front of the car.
