The SEMA Show - always an exciting time of the year for auto enthusiasts. So far, this year has been no exception. SEMA 2017 started with nearly a full day of programming on Monday before the show opened, and the show itself kicked off with the New Product Breakfast, highlighting products and companies SEMA has deemed the best of the past year. Winners included:

Street Rod/Custom Car Product Wilwood Disc Brakes, Tandem Brake and Hydraulic Clutch Pedal Kit
Performance-Racing Product Holley/MSD, Racepak Vantage CL1 Cloud Based Data Kit
Off-Road/4-Wheel Drive Product Austin International Mfg Inc., 2 Ton big wheel jack
Performance-Street Product COMP Performance Group, COMP Cams FSL Series Camshaft for GM L99 Engines

For the classic and hot rod enthusiast, the big news yesterday was that Goodguys is lowering its eligibility requirement for membership to 1987 in order to welcome in some of the later model muscle cars, including the Fox Body Mustang and the Monte Carlo. They revealed this along with a sweet, yellow foxbody build by Goolsby customs that will enter the Goodguys fleet. Prestone showed off a gorgeous 1972 AMC Javelin AMX built by Ringbrothers, while Royal Purple unveiled a Gap Body built Camaro; this was especially exciting for the owners, who had no idea what had been done to their car.
