What a great day for a car show.Leading up to today's events ol Mother Nature had been unruly. What with heavy rains and in some parts of the MidWest flooding. Well, we survived. The day started out with a thick layer of fog that made driving a challenge. But once the threat of thunderstorms and or rain were dispelled well here they came. Last year at the 1st show, there were about 70 entrants this year was double that. In fact, 156 from Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Missouri, Texas and Oklahoma made the trip to the 2nd ANNUAL POVERTY FLATS PIE FESTIVAL AND CAR SHOW. Now when was the last time that you got to eat your trophy? I bet never.
The trophy's that were handed out were all hand made and donated. And of course, the pie's are sought after.
A BIG Thanks goes out to Paul Kruse who is the mastermind behind this show.
This is a laid back atmosphere where there is no judging, no judges walking around with the Grand National or Riddler award's judging sheet's. Just clean your ride and sit back and enjoy the event.
