The Chatterbox's Last Season

For a lot of years, the Chatterbox has been home to motorcycle activity on Thursdays, Corvettes on Fridays plus a major Cruise-in every Saturday night. It would not be uncommon to see 200 hundred cars at the site. There is a standard group of patrons that visit every Saturday night plus there are others that only show up once in a while and then there are the visitors who come maybe once or twice to show off their wheels. The fact remains, the quality of the cars is remarkable. One of the reasons for the closure could be weather related. There have been so many Saturday nights over the past years where the rain just about canceled any hope of a show. While the car activities are in effect, the restaurant section always seems well populated, plus that, the food is always good. It is rumored that the property has been purchased by WaWa, somehow I do not see a continuation of the activities when they take over. A topic that comes up often is where do we go from here? Most people have no suggestion for a replacement venue to handle the number of cars that appear at the Chatterbox.
