My full custom all steel Willy’s (check my build article) has a RCI fuel cell that originally was polished down. About a year after installation I noticed the smell of fuel coming from the car. Sure enough the fuel cell was weeping along one of the polished down welds. I had thought about re-welding the cell but was worried about additional weeping. I called RCI about the problem and low and behold they offered to send me an replacement fuel cell at no cost. Not only did RCI provide me with a replacement fuel cell but they have sent me two replacement GM sending units after two of my sending units quit working. Lesson learned my new fuel cell is powder coated.
