Legislation (S.2093) supported by the SEMA Action Network (SAN) has been introduced in Mass. to allow year of manufacture registration plates to be restored to their original colors and designs.

Currently, vehicles registered as antique may display YOM plates with DMV approval. However, current DMV regulations require these plates to be in original condition. The bill had passed the Joint Committee on Transportation and is waiting for consideration in the Senate Rules Committee.
