On Saturday, Sept.12, 2015 My Friend Carl and I went to the 27th Adirondack
Nationals car show on the grounds of the Fort William Henry Motor Lodge at Lake
George, NY. The Albany Rods & Kustoms car club continue to put on a fantasic,
not to be missed show, and they do it at the unreal price of $10.00 for a 3-day
pass. We arrived about 8:15 AM after a 2+ hour drive from Western Massachusetts,
found a parking place and headed over to the show.
The grounds were filled to capacity with a variety of cars that provided
something for everyone: Rods, Kustoms, Muscle Cars, Antiques & Classics.
We saw our buddy Charlie, had lunch with fellow HotRodHotLine photographer
Tom Poremba sporting his new Nikon camera, saw Bill and Linda Yorker with
their "Absurd" Hemi powered Model-A Coupe, and made new friends from Canada
and several New England states.
Unfortunately the rains started about 5:00 PM and it came down in buckets.
Participants and spectators alike headed for cover and the ensuing traffic
was a disaster. The rain continued heavily making the evening cruise a No-Go,
but everyone that goes to or knows about this show will surely be back next year.
I hope you enjoy my pictures!
Walt
