58th Annual Good Vibrations Motorsports March Meet

The 58th Annual Good Vibrations Motorsports March Meet has come and gone, held recently on the hallowed grounds known as Auto Club Famoso Raceway…or ‘Bakersfield’ as it is commonly called. Activities commence on Thursday with several hundred race cars unloading in the pits; a manufacturers row also sets up a full quarter mile long display of the newest in performance products, with a sprinkling of hot rod shirt vendors, tool suppliers and the like. The large swap meet area at the end of the grandstands is filled with just about everything you can imagine…Friday the Grove, directly behind the grandstands begins to fill with hot rods, customs, street rods, pickups and more, as spectators settle in for the weekend…filled with food, drink and ice cream booths the Grove is a happening place throughout the weekend, as upwards of 50,000 spectators attend this spectacular event. Not to be outdone, the racing action was the star, with side by side racing all day, and while there were a few nail biting accidents, no one was injured on the track. The Famoso crew worked tirelessly to keep the track in great condition, despite the occasional light sprinkles….enjoy the photographs as we take in the weekend!
