Warbirds, Wings and Wheels – and Mega Swap Meet

For the 10^th year the Estrella Warbirds Museum and the Woodland Auto Display welcomed the guests to the annual show which this year again had the Mega swap meet included.

With celebrity guest Dennis Gage returning for the 2^nd year, fans were able to meet and greet Dennis, who was available for autographs, and generally just chatting with any and all…this time with no video cameras running, as Dennis so enjoyed the show last year, he came back on his own time…a real car enthusiast!

This the 10^th year was the largest yet, with 298 entries, parked among the vintage warplanes and runway with plenty of room for visitors to peruse the show, visit with the owners, tour the museum buildings, with docents present to answer any question one might have…this is a very professional, well run destination for the show, which is also open for private club events throughout the year as well.

(As a side note: Last year I was fortunate to win the 1900-1934 modified class, this year I was surprised to see my roadster on the T-shirts…didn’t stop there…as our club, San Luis Roadsters were nearing the entrance, one of our members turned on the wrong drive, with others following, I proceeded on to the entrance table, receiving the entrant only ticket for the cash awards to be given at the awards presentation…you guessed it, I won the big drawing for $600.00! Guess I should take Joe to lunch….)
